What to Expect

Whether you come on Sunday for worship or at another time for one of our many activities, you will receive an enthusiastic and sincere welcome. You will be greeted by people who are deeply committed to Christ and who desire to share his love with all people. They will be genuinely happy to meet you, and they will be delighted to help you find your way around our building.

Sunday Morning Schedule:

8:00 AM         Worship with Holy Communion
                 9:00 AM         Refreshments
9:15 AM         Sunday School for All Ages
10:30 AM        Worship with Holy Communion

Worship
Our congregation generally follows a liturgical style of worship. The entire service, complete with music and Scripture readings, is printed in a service folder. A few times a year, at the 10:30 AM service, there will be a contemporary style of worship with praise team singers and band. A Children’s Sermon is always offered during the 10:30 AM service. Following the Children’s Sermon, children ages three through eight are invited to go to Children’s Church, while adults remain in the sanctuary.

Sunday School
The lower floor of our building is completely devoted to children and youth. On Sunday morning there is a “rotation style” program for the children with a variety of exciting activities (singing, crafts, story telling, computer games) to help children learn of God’s love for them. Individual classes are held for middle school and high school youth. There are a variety of large and small group Bible studies for adults on the upper floor of our building.

Dress
If you come for worship, you will find people dressed in a variety of ways, from dresses and suits to casual attire. Please come dressed in a manner that is comfortable for you.

Communion
Holy Communion is celebrated at all Sunday services, except when there are special children’s programs. We invite all baptized Christians who acknowledge their sinfulness, accept Christ as their Savior, and recognize the real presence of his body and blood in the bread and wine to commune with us. The wine is offered both in individual glasses and in a chalice (common cup). Children who have not been instructed in the meaning of Holy Communion are invited to come to the Communion rail for a blessing.

Nursery
There is a professionally staffed Nursery next to the sanctuary. Parents are invited to leave their little ones three years old and younger in the nursery during worship.

Parking
Our church has plenty of parking in front and behind our church home. In front of the building there are designated parking spaces for guests and blue-striped parking spaces for those who need special assistance. If you park in front of the building there will be no stairs to climb to reach the sanctuary, fellowship hall, and administrative offices.

All rest rooms are accessible for people in wheel chairs.
